About TAP ONE
TAP ONE is a One Piece crew-building game that combines reflex mechanics with strategic character selection. You pick crew categories one at a time — each category spins a roulette of characters from the selected pool. Your task is to lock in exactly one character per category to build a complete ten-member crew with the highest possible total bounty.
The crew builder evaluates synergies between selected characters: characters from the same crew, characters with matching Haki types, or characters within a specific bounty tier all generate bonus multipliers. Planning your category selection order to maximise synergy combinations is the key skill that separates high-scoring runs from average ones.
Your final crew bounty is mapped to a rank title — from rookie bounties under 100 million all the way to Emperor-tier bounties above 10 billion. The global leaderboard ranks all registered players by their highest-achieved crew bounty. New runs can always challenge your personal best.
Strategy: Building the Strongest Crew
The most valuable synergy in TAP ONE comes from crew-based bonuses: filling multiple slots with characters from the same crew multiplies their individual bounties. Aiming for a Whitebeard Pirates heavy crew, a Big Mom Pirates focus, or an all-Straw-Hat build are common high-score strategies for players familiar with the character pools.
However, single-crew strategies are high risk. If the roulette for a critical category does not produce a character from your target crew, you may be forced to break synergy or accept a lower-value character. Experienced players prepare a secondary synergy strategy — a Haki-based bonus or a bounty tier alignment — as a fallback.
Order your category selections deliberately. Save the categories most likely to produce your target synergy characters for mid-game, when you have established enough of your strategy to know which bonus to prioritise. Early-game categories are best used to secure high-value characters outright.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change a character selection after locking in?
No. Each character selection is final once confirmed. This is intentional — the one-way commitment mechanic is a core part of the game's tension and strategic depth.
What determines which characters appear in each category roulette?
Each category maps to a specific character pool drawn from the One Piece database. The roulette selects characters randomly from that pool each run, meaning the same category can show different characters across sessions.
How is crew bounty calculated?
The base crew bounty is the sum of all ten selected characters' individual bounties. Synergy bonuses are applied as multipliers on top of this base value — higher synergy counts produce proportionally larger multipliers.
